These conditions summarize the confirmed commercial process for Chan Paradise Sailing private experiences.
Booking and payment
- A booking is confirmed after receiving a 30% deposit of the total cost.
- The remaining 70% may be paid online before the charter or at the marina on the day of departure.
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express and cash are accepted.
- Chan Paradise Sailing does not charge an additional fee for card or online payments. A receipt or tax invoice may be requested.
Prices and fees
Base charter prices and additional guest charges are subject to 16% VAT. Published USD and MXN rates are fixed independently, and guests may choose the payment currency. Dock & sanitation fee: $21 USD / $350 MXN per person, not subject to VAT. National Park/El Farito fee: $16 USD / $270 MXN only for guests who snorkel, not subject to VAT. Transportation is quoted separately.
Guest cancellations
- Full refund: cancellations made at least 10 days before the scheduled departure date are eligible for a 100% refund of the deposit.
- Late cancellations: cancellations made 2–9 days before departure forfeit 50% of the deposit; the remaining 50% is refunded.
- Cancellations within 48 hours of departure or no-shows are non-refundable.
Weather and safety
- If the Harbor Master (Capitanía de Puerto) closes the port due to adverse weather conditions, you will receive a 100% refund or may reschedule at no additional cost.
- The route and activities are coordinated according to the operational and safety conditions on the day of the charter.
Itinerary
The final route depends on the booked duration, group preferences, operational availability and safety decisions. Playa Norte can normally be included in the route. At the guest’s request, both the 4-hour and 6-hour charters may include a stop ashore in Isla Mujeres, depending on the requested itinerary.
